Another rainy Friday, at least in these five free files. On a different note, Google has informed me that the 'subscribe by email' feature for their blog service is going away in July. So, those that subscribe now will have to bookmark it and check in every week. But, in the meantime, happy crafting! ☂☔🌂☔⛆⛈🌦🌧

I'm not really a fan of owls, but in my search I found a few that I liked. Especially the two illustrations with the peacock. And I love the two banner illustrations! What unique tags they would make! Tune in next week for some fun requests and see what else I find. 👀😎🐧🕑📨📪🔎

My very first request was for squirrels! Not much out there in the way of the fluffy-tailed rodents! But it did bring back a lot of fond memories! When I was growing up, my dad was a logger, and my cousin ended up with a baby squirrel he named Squeaky. He fed it with a dropper, and it grew into a hefty little critter, riding around on his shoulder. He would bring the squirrel to our house during the winter when we were all snowed in, and my family would sit up all night playing Monopoly. My mother would make homemade yeast doughnuts, and we'd sit by the fire all cozy and warm. Squeaky would curl up in my dad's furry winter hat and sleep while we passed Go and collected $200. 😉😴💰☃⛄✄🍩

With a new year beginning, I thought about calendars. Then I went on a search to see what I could find, not expecting too much. But, I found these beautiful pansies and forget-me-nots that would make pretty journaling cards or other ephemera. Happy crafting!! 📕📝⏰✂✏

Another year has come and gone. And like most people, I am glad to see the end of it, for several reasons! Who else is ready for something new? A new start? Getting rid of the old and bringing on the new? A clean slate? It's about time, isn't it? I hope these simple illustrations bring in a new year full of positive outlook! Happy crafting! 💝📯🎀⏰✂

After mailing off some birthday packages to my grandson in the middle of the holiday season, I began to think about shipping, and how many gifts are delivered by the post office instead of in person. Right now, there is a package held up in the local distribution center. While some packages sail on through, others run aground. So, today's post is all about shipping and handling. That thing we pay for so something gets where we want it to go on time, while knowing that once it leaves our hands, there are no guarantees for when it arrives. Not this time of year, anyway! 📬🕐🚚

I, for one, am a great fan of vintage advertising. Not only are they an interesting read (like why some contraptions are not made anymore) but they have some unique illustrations to help sell their product.
